Appointments

Consultations are by appointment. Dr. Pedler allows at least 15 minutes for each consultation, which means you will not feel rushed and rarely will you be kept waiting.

First appointments for nutritional medicine with Dr. Taylor are of 1 hour duration and follow up appointments are usually booked for 30-45 minutes.

At the time of making your appointment, please let us know if you have an urgent problem so that you can be seen on the same day. If you require a longer consultation to discuss several problems, a full checkup, insurance medical or have any other special needs, such as an Interpreter Service, let us know and every effort will be made to accommodate you.

Your courtesy in cancelling appointments well ahead of time is appreciated by both the doctor and other patients. A non-attendance fee for inconvenience of missed appointments or cancellations may be charged due to the high demand for services.

Scripts & Referrals

Prescriptions for medicines taken regularly can be obtained without seeing the doctor. We require 24 hours notice and a small, non-rebatable fee will be charged in accordance with AMA guidelines.

The medical health act requires that a doctor's assessment should take place prior to any Referral to a specialist if medicare is to reimburse payment. Referrals are made as a result of examination, or otherwise based on professional judgement and cannot be backdated.

When your medical condition requires time away from work and you need a Sickness Certificate, this can only be done as a result of an examination and not by telephone request, and it cannot be backdated.
